I would be remiss if I didn't add a few views from our recent trip to NYC:
Gates in the sun, Central Park.
In Chinatown we stumbled into a parade, complete with dancing dragons (not pictured), nonplussed cops (also not pictured), and flags.
And finally, in the realm of round baked goods, we were delighted to discover this toasted and buttered corn muffin at a local dining establishment. Nearly as good as a crumpet!

Posted by: Greg on February 27, 2005 11:55 AMHey, we took you to the place with chocolate chip pancakes!
Next time a burger and corn muffins!
Posted by: Eric Sinclair on February 27, 2005 12:04 PMRight on... glad you guys had a good time in NYC, yo!
And while I am sorry that we had to cancel your most resent visit to the Squatter's Inn, I'm really extra glad you didn't get exposed to the plaque that's goin' 'round. 3 straight days of slow roasting your brain at 100+° can make you... um.... not so smart.
Were the gates as overwhelming and visually spectacular as they appear on TV?

Also a very *quiet* piece of public art compared to the normal amount of buzzing, clanging, and flashing we get exposed to in everyday urban life. When the sun shone, the effect was quite dazzling, as pictured.
